Post prison, Lil Wayne has returned to jumping on an array of features and remixes. Following his recent contribution to the Ace Hood ‘Hustle Hard‘ remix, and a rework of Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Black and Yellow’ song; Lil Wayne has now dropped a verse on the explosive Bruno Mars hit ‘Grenade‘. With a sound that is reminiscent of his Young Money affiliate Drake; Lil Wayne lends introductory bars to the original version of the ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ song. From jumping in front of trains to jumping off ‘Noah’s Ark’ , Weezy stays in tune with the metaphorical theme of romantic affliction (Bruno’s death defying antics were always going to be hard to top!).
However, this is one song that certainly doesn’t need any help in blowing up the charts! Since its release in late 2010, Grenade shot to the number 1 position; remaining top 10 ever since. Was there really a need for a remix…
Hot or Not?? Check out the lyrics and remix audio below:
“And I don’t mind when we fall out
as long as we fall back into it
I hope we never put an end to it
even though you not that into it
Heaven, have you ever been to it
cause you look like you never been
you’re more like a Hell’s angel
and for you, I’d rather sin
broken heart, Love you with a broken heart
for you I’ll jump off Noah’s Ark
love is blind and hope is dark
but why does pain feel so good
love is science, live for you
die for you, and I’ll die smiling”
