The nominees for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards have been revealed. Leading the pack this year is Adele with a whopping 7 nominations for her “Rolling in the Deep,” video, while Bruno Mars racks up four, Kanye West scores seven, Nicki Minaj nets three and Tyler, The Creator bags two.
Since Tyler, The Creator broke onto the scene he has stated several times about the goals and targets he has set himself, and now he can scratch another one off his list. The OFWGKTA leader receives two nods for “Yonkers,” which is nominated in the Best Video and Best New Artist categories. Tyler is up against Kreayshawn, Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, and Foster the People, for Best New Artist.
