As previously revealed to you on Rap Ireland, producers for the upcoming Tupac biopic have already launched an online global search in the hope of finding the ideal person to play the gunned down rap star. It seems as though a certain someone already has his eyes on the prize role though. Unfortunately for many of Tupac‘s fans, they may not be overly pleased with this someone’s claim to the throne. That’s right, none other than Soulja Boy is that someone.
Undeterred by the vitriol he received for his role in the forthcoming remake of“Juice”, in which he plays the part depicted by Tupac in the original 90’s classic, the young rapper may now also step into the Machiavelli Dons shoes to portray the man himself.
The audacious young man has revealed he has been asked to audition and is giving it his consideration. He also revealed he was honoured to be linked with the part. “I got an email from William Morris Agency — that’s my agency that I’m with — they reached out to me to play the part. I’m just still thinking about it right now,” Soulja Boy said. “Even with the whole ‘Juice‘ movie, I’m playing a part that Tupac played, but I’m not actually playin’ ‘Pac. When it comes to this, I’m actually gonna be playin’ ‘Pac, so I’m really still just thinkin’ about it. But I’m just honored that they would reach out to me and ask me anyway.”

The Pac role is still under consideration, but right now, Soulja Boy says he is overjoyed with his “Juice” re-make, revealing that it has been completed and he cant wait for the fans to see it. It is being released in partnership with his recently released “Juice” mixtape. “I shot the movie. It’s done. We did a good job. It’s gonna be crazy,” the rapper and actor said. As previously reported, the Morgan Creek Pictures “Pac” film will be directed by Antoine Fuqua and is set to begin filming this summer. The cast for the film has still not been confirmed.
