Snoop Dogg has always had a rocky reputation with European authorities, having been banned and unable to play in the United Kingdom for years. Just as the LA rapper has grown accustomed to planning his European tours around alternative regions the Netherlands have weighed in, with authorities banning him from performing at the ParkPop Festival in The Hague.
Snoop had originally been billed to play on June 27th but the mayor of The Hague and law enforcement officials announced his presence would be inconsistent with the “open and friendly character” of the festival and forceably removed him from the line-up.
Organizers stated the move was “very annoying” whilst Snoop’s management claimed the rapper is “astonished by the decision”. At this point Snoop Dogg’s Irish appearances in Dublin and Cork will proceed as planned, though the rapper can ill-afford any more bad news from European authorities.
