Beef again reared it’s ugly head at the BET Hip-Hop Awards last night, when shots were fired and individuals arrested, as Def Jam label mates Rick Ross and Young Jeezy went at it in the arena’s parking lot.
The news first broke via Funkmaster Flex, who was tweeting live as two of Def Jam Records’ heavyweight artists fought it out at the awards show. According to the HOT 97 presenter, Ross and Jeezy, with their MMG and CTE crews in tow, initially exchanged words, before things got physical. Flex claimed that what started as pushing and shoving quickly escalated in the car park.
Once the tussle moved to the car park of the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center gunshots were heard, and eye-witnesses reported a police arrest. Bizarrely, Bad Boy Records artist Machine Gun Kelly reportedly was maced during the fight.

During this fight, the awards taping was suspended and the venue was reportedly held on lockdown. The lockdown was suspended soon after, when Ross took the stage.
Onetime collaborators, and label-mates for almost seven years, this has been an ongoing feud between the Southern stars dating back to at least 2010.
