Philadelphia rapper Cassidy, real name Barry Reese has been released from jail after he was arrested for a probation violation last week. He was apprehended in Hackensack, New Jersey on May 14th after the Philadelphia Police issued a warrant for the rapper’s arrest.
On Saturday May 20th the rapper Tweeted ‘GOD is great! I just touch down! Feeling better than ever! Don’t believe everything you hear… I’m good.’ Making a reference to the rumours that had been circling that he was arrested as a suspect in a murder case and as a suspect in two attempted murders. He also stated that he is returning to the studio and releasing some new music, now that he is free ‘All I do is murder beats, thats why I beat murders… I’m dropping some new music tomorrow.’
The Philly native was arrested for failing to check in with his probation officer stemming from an aggravated assault case.
