At the annual Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay, Young Money’s main lady thrilled her audience with a performance that was not in accordance with Jamaican decency laws.
MTV’s RapFix reported that Nicki’s act was overly explicit, the rapstress engaged in “an obscenities-laced performance,which was a direct violation of Jamaican law which forbids foul language.”
For her troubles, her Minajesty was fined the slender sum of J$1000 dollars, when converted to American currency translates into a total of $11. This will hardly be a major blow to the star, who according to Celebritynetworth.com has a tidy sum of $8.5 million to her name.
Minaj did not display any ill feelings towards the Caribbean island in the aftermath of the incident, tweeting on July 24th; “OMG, I swear I just had the TIME OF MY LIFE @ ReggaeSumFest in Jamaica!!!!! Jamaica I fell in love tonite! WOWWW!!!!”
Nicki Minaj is currently touring with Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale tour. This incident may make the ‘Superbass’ singer tone down her risque behavior from now on, to escape further repercussions for her raciness in the future.
