Def Jam recording artist Neyo, notorious for singing about relationships and affairs of the heart has recently taken a large leap in his own love life. The singer songwriter popped the question to long-term partner Monyetta Shaw who is a boutique owner from Atlanta.
The couple have one daughter, Madilyn, who was born in November 2010 and are expecting baby number two in the coming months. It is not known when exactly their second baby is due to arrive, but a source close to entertainment magazine US Weekly claimed it may be as soon as October.
There has been no word yet from the Neyo compound regarding the double disclosure, but if his previous tweets are anything to go by the ‘Closer’ singer will not shy away from expressing his feelings.
After the birth of his first child in November 2010, Neyo was overjoyed and shared his delight with the world when he tweeted: “Welcoming that lil’ girl to the world last night defined for me what ‘willing to kill and die for’ truly means. My world, my life, all hers.”
With the 31-year old’s family expanding by the year, the singer’s personal life could not be a further from the lyrics of many of his songs. It appears that Neyo has found his ‘one in a million’ in the mother of his daughter and unborn child, Monyetta Shaw.
