Rob Steenson has been on his grind for a number of years now, but “Summer Rain”, the glossy video the rapper dropped last week, is arguably the biggest breakthrough in the young man’s career to date. With a sound and visual feel that is reminiscent of last summer’s “How Does it Feel” release by The Animators, Rob Steenson has stepped up to the plate with a highly professional product, courtesy of the film-making talents of one Jonathan Lambert.
Of course, it is probably little coincidence that this video may conjure up images of those early days of The Animators, as it is former manager Alan Newman who produced the beat that lays the foundation for this ode to an Irish summer.
