New Irish Hip Hop : J2DR- Listen Up (Video)

Cork City based rapper J2DR debuts his solo rap career with ‘Listen Up’– an introductory track and accompanying video lifted from his up and coming self-titled solo mixtape.

Born and raised in Benin City, Nigeria, J2DR first became involved within the music scene in 2005 as a solo artist, followed by his current rap group affiliation, known as JF (Just-Friends). J2DR is currently working on multiple studio projects including his solo mixtape, and his JF group project entitled “Should have been an Album”.

The video for “Listen Up” was shot in Ballincollig, Cork City, by upcoming director Brendan Canty of Feel Good Lost Productions. J2DR illustrates his rap style as not just as a form of art but also as a way of life, with lyrics that portray vivid imagery of real life events to which the general public can relate to. J2DR believes that the Irish Hip-Hop scene is on the verge to being recognized as an industry and he is proud to be part of the movement. Check it out below and let us know what you think!
