Fans of DMX were in for a real treat yesterday thanks to X’s long time friend and producer Swizz Beatz. Swizzy gave us a double helping of new music from DMX via his Twitter account as part of his “Monster Monday” free music give away.
First up was the track “Change Gonna Come” over the famous Sam Cooke sample. He later graced us with a second helping from his Ruff Ryder counterpart called “Time To Get paid”. This time sampling the classic Notorious B.I.G hit “Juicy” for another gritty street anthem from the Dogg.
Can DMX put all his personal trouble to one side and get back to making hard records the caliber of “Ruff Ryders Anthem”, “Party Up” and the 2002 hit “X Gon’ Give It to You”. Judging by these two tracks, we hope so. DMX’s new album “Walk with Me Now” is scheduled to hit stores later this year.
