God’s Son has just recently flavoured us with the first single Nasty from his upcoming album Life Is Good, but now the Queensbridge MC says he is considering changing the title of the album.
Speaking to MTV News about the reason for the possible title change, Nas said ;
A lot of people around me didn’t understand where I was coming from. They kinda thought I was saying, “Let’s pop bottles, we’re rich, everything’s good.” That’s not where I was coming from. So there’s another title that came, that kind of fits a little better, and you might hear about that. There might be a change coming real soon
Esco also spoke about the single Nasty, produced by long time collaborator Salaam Remi, which just released this week. The track sees Nas take us back to his early 90s raw, harsh rhyming style and on it he also gives reference to that great era. On the concept he explained ;
I came up in a great era, so I’m always gonna live with that and that’s always gonna live inside of me. It’s relevant today more than it’s ever been. A lot of people may lose their footing in the music game and stuff, but you know, it’s always important to remember who you are and how you got here
The New York native is hoping for a September release to his tenth solo studio album. Going on the single Nasty it sounds like it’s going to be another banger by this legend in the game.
