Speaking to MTV News back in May, Nas said he had given up on putting Lost Tapes 2 out, but now it seems the Queens rapper has since retracted his statement from that interview. The rapper recently told Rolling Stone that he hasn’t completely ruled out releasing a sequel to his acclaimed 2002 compilation.
“It’s still up in the air if I’m going to put out Lost Tapes II as an extra album,” he says. “Hopefully we can find a timeline but the first thing is Life Is Good.”
“There’s a certain sound in hip-hop that I love so some of the album may give you a Nineties feel,” he said.
Also while speaking with Rolling Stone he shed some light on his upcoming album saying he has recorded with Salaam Remi, Jay Electronica and AZ for the project, and he hopes to work with Scarface before the LP is released.
