In a recent interview with hip-hop website SOHH, Lil Wayne’s childhood sweetheart Toya Carter revealed Weezy has been recording with their daughter Reginae. The 12-year old is the eldest of Lil Wayne’s ever expanding brood which consists of three other boys.
Toya Carter divulged the news that her famous former husband and their daughter have been collaborating on a few tracks and she remarked on her daughter’s star quality; “She is very talented, smart and wise beyond her years. And I know Wayne feels the same way that she’s a star.” She was quick to outline where exactly her priorities for her daughter lie, stating; “As long as she’s doing what she has to do in school and making good grades, I’ll support anything else.”
There has been no word from camp Weezy regarding when the tracks will be unleashed on the public so fans will have to hang tough before they find out if Reginae is “stuntin” like her Daddy. Until then Lil Wayne’s legion of fans will have to make do with the release of Tha Carter IV on June 21st, which many regard to be the most anticipated rap album of 2011.
