On June 18th last, G-Units’ new signing Shawty Lo was performing at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash in Atlanta when he brought out the Queen Bee as his surprise guest. Lil’ Kim ran through the well known Bad Boy track Its All About The Benjamins. But it was after that track when she landed the biggest surprise of the performance when she spoke to the crowd saying ;
“If ya’ll don’t know, this my boy right here. G-Unit South; that’s where it’s at. And I’m family too, down with the G-Unit camp. We got surprises for ya’ll.”
Letting her words hang in the air like an unanswered question, the Junior M.A.F.I.A. member left the crowd wondering before carrying on with a rendition of Get Money.
Lil’ Kim has not released a studio album in nearly six years but has worked with 50 Cent and the G-Unit camp as far back as 2003 for the track Magic Stick. With rumours of a deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation now faded, this looks like the Brooklyn rapper could now be aligning herself to 50’s G-Unit Records.
