Nicki explains that the recently leaked track “We Miss You” was not about her cousin Nicholas Telemaque who was murdered earlier this week.
Reacting to the leak on Twitter Minaj said:
“Tho the lyrics of “We Miss You” eerily depict the circumstances surrounding my cousin’s death, I wrote & recorded that song on 5/24/2010”
The track was meant to be included in her album Pink Friday and was sent to Keyshia Cole and Mariah Carey over a year ago for a potential feature, but didn’t make the album. She added that the track was “an unauthorized leak.”
