Seems like 2011 has been the year of rappers joining forces for collaborative projects. Well, now two veterans from 1990s rap groups have announced they will be joining forces for a new EP.
Layzie Bone, formerly of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Fredro Starr of Onyx have announced that they are recording a collaborative EP, reportedly called “Fire Squad”.
Queen’s veteran Fredro hasn’t released an album in three years and Layzie has a lot more time on his hands now that Bone Thugs have officially split.
There are no official release dates set for the project, but you can be assured that Rap Ireland will keep you posted. Until then, check out the opening track of the EP below.
