Justin Timberlake has called out Jay-Z in a new interview with Vanity Fair, in which he revealed how the rap icon passed on an opportunity to work together. Justin recalled the communication between himself and Hova regarding working ‘N’ sync’; “Jay-Z has put out 11 albums and I was talking about doing a collaboration with him and he said, ‘I can’t do it right now’, but I’ll get you on the next album.'” Timberlake explained to Vanity Fair.
Justin was quick to detail that this is not how he rolls; “I was like ‘No man I don’t work like that. This sounded good for me and you to do together, and if it doesn’t work then I totally get it, but I won’t be putting out an album next year; these aren’t a dime a dozen to me.'” According to MTV’s Rapfix, the album that JT wanted to get Hova to work on was the FutureSex/LoveSounds disc. The album that featured; Timbaland, T.I and Three 6 Mafia.
Justin has worked with many other hip hop artists in the past, including: The Clipse, Will.I.Am, 50 Cent, Ciara and Drake. He was evidently extremely surprised to be shunned by the King, Shawn Carter.
