A couple of months ago, Rap Ireland brought you news of an NWA biopic that was in the works, and it would now appear that progress on the project has been moving at a quicker pace than anticipated. Former group member Ice Cube has said that the biopic is actually already very close to production, and we probably even reach movie theatres before the Friday sequel, which has been highly publicised in recent months.Cube was hesitant in naming the director they would be using for the movie, though a number of names have been under consideration, including John Singleton, F. Gary Gray, Craig Brewer and Peter Berg
As we mentioned previously, Eazy E’s son has thrown his hat in the ring to play his late father, but it has since emerged that Eazy’s daughter has also been sizing up a role. However, Cube was quick to confirm that none of the original NWA members would be making any appearance in the movie.
