After Drake dropped in on Rihanna’s ‘Loud’ concerts in Toronto and Montreal last week to perform their duet ‘What’s my name’, the rumour mill has been rumbling with regard to the status of the pairs relationship. The delectable duo who were involved in a brief fling in the past are rumoured to be rekindling their romance. According to MTV’s RapFix the pair have been seen together quite frequently of late, dining out and going to clubs together.
Rihanna who split from baseball playing beau, Matt Kemp in December opened up about the brief romance the pair shared in the past to MTV; “I definitely was attracted to Drake” before going on to say “It was a really fragile time in my life, so I just didn’t want to get too serious with anything or anyone at that time.”
Drizzy also spoke in the past about their short lived romance. The Young Money MC said that he was used as a “pawn” by the star, he even wrote a verse about Rihanna in his song ‘Fireworks’ where he stated “I could tell it wasn’t love, I just thought you f—ed with me.”
Drake later explained that it was never his intention to offend the ‘Umbrella’ star. “I feel like when people write about it or try to take an excerpt from me describing it, it’s gonna sound negative.” He went on to describe Rihanna to MTV.com, as “such an overwhelming and incredible person.”
Both Rihanna and Drake are rap royalty and if the rumours are true the reigning king and queen may have something to worry about. Jay and Beyonce better watch their backs!
