As the news broke last night we reported on Chris Brown‘s announcement that his European Tour would be cancelled. We can now confirm that Irish dates in Dublin and Cork will be included in that cancellation.
A statement from Brown’s spokesperson reads: “Due to issues surrounding his work visa, [the] Ireland and United Kingdom leg of Chris Brown’s Fan Appreciation Tour has been postponed. Chris looks forward to performing for his fans abroad in the near future and thanks them for their continued support.”
It is believed Brown’s application was rejected due to a conviction stemming from his fight with Rihanna last year. The singer was sentenced to six months community labour and five years probation. We will have further updates later in the day.
