Controversy erupted in the U.S earlier this week as politicians lined up to condemn Jay-Z and Beyonce for taking their holidays in Havana, Cuba to celebrate their 5 year wedding anniversary. According to American law it is illegal to visit Cuba unless government approval is provided.
Following the uproar over the high-powered couple flouting the law, Jay-Z has teamed up with Swizz Beatz and Timbaland for a hard-hitting track aimed at the Republican politicians who were demanding jail time and a hefty fine. If anything, this fiasco has drawn attention to a clearly out-dated and ill-conceived American law, put in place to keep a strangle-hold on their nearest communist neighbour.
