We have been bringing you updates on this story over the last couple of weeks, as 50 Cent launched attack after scathing attack on his record label, Interscope Records, for mishandling and not understanding his upcoming studio release. However, 50 had to swallow his pride last night and apologize, having been made aware that computer error, and not human error, had been the cause of the leaked music.
At this point one could rightly wonder whether this is part of a cleverly planned campaign to keep 50 in the spotlight in the run up to his 5th studio album, which remains untitled. Having previously claimed to have “lost all faith” in Interscope, 50 Cent pulled one of his characteristic U-Turns, stating last night that;
“[I] discovered that a computer glitch leaked my song. Sorry to the team at Interscope for over reacting!”. He went on to say “I put a lot in to this project but I don’t care if it ever comes out. Jimmy Iovine has been like a mentor for me. I just want to stay friends.”
We hope this latest development will close the chapter on what has been a long running debacle surrounding his album and that the G-Unit boss will turn his attention back to making music.
