Yesterday 50 Cent took to his Twitter account to vent anger about his record label. The Queens rapper feels like their are ‘creative differences’ between the label and himself. He stated that his new album was put on hold till their differences were sorted. Fif then announced he would be putting out the first song from the record later that night.
Below is what the G-Unit boss wrote on his Twitter page:
Ok I tried to be cool with my record company. I went to the meeting talk to everyone and sh*t feels like there moving in slow motion. I’m sorry to announce I will not be releasing a new album this year if we don’t get on the same page. I would rather not launch my album with out a plan the whole system is executing. I don’t know why they play with me they know how I get.
My whole career iv been doing sh*t and they have been playing catch up this is the last f*cking album THEY BETTER WAKE UP AND WORK. I’m on that DRE sh*t boy guess when my sh*t coming out WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT. LMAO. I worked really hard on this album I’m not gonna let it come out like some bullsh*t. There use to me just putting it out.
Yo DRE has some really good music. The song I did with him should come out soon. I think ill wait till he comes out to drop.
Ok fuck it I’m putting the first song off my new album out tonight.’
50 kept to his word and last night dropped ‘Outlaw’: the first single from the upcoming untitled album. The track is produced by Cardiak; the man who brought us Lloyd Banks’ ‘Start It Up’. Funkmaster Flex once again got the exclusive for his Hot 97 radio show. After the first spin of the new single, 50 called in to the show to talk about everything from the 2Pac case to Ja Rule’s prison sentence.
