Long-time friend of Rap Ireland, N-Dubz rapper Fazer was announced today as producer of the winning X-Factor artists’ Christmas single. It appears that talks have been ongoing over the past few weeks with Simon Cowell’s label, SyCo, with Faze confirming this earlier today: “I’ve been talking to SyCo about working on a few different things for them. I’ll be producing for the X Factor winner, it’s been decided.”
N-Dubz have had a mixed relationship with the ITV blockbuster show. The band’s singer Tulisa was a new addition as judge this year, replacing Cheryl Cole, though N-Dubz lead-man Dappy has been very out-spoken against the show, unleashing numerous rants over Twitter earlier in the year.
It appears Fazer has no such concerns, and is in fact aiming for a Christmas 1-2 with N-Dubz and X-Factor; “We really want to give a new flavour to the X Factor acts. It’s going to suit me. I have rock influences, hip-hop, pop, whatever. I have produced Dappy’s new track and songs for Tulisa too. I’m hoping for the Christmas numbers one and two.”
