Having released “Hunger for More 2” back in November, former Interscope Records rapper Lloyd Banks has told fans at the Key Club in Hollywood that he is to release a second installment of the “The Cold Corner” within the next two weeks.
The G-Unit member has enjoyed a successful 2010 in the US ,with his single “Beamer Benz or Bentley”, featuring Juelz Santana, peaking at 49 on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite receiving no major-label backing or promotion the single was certified gold (over 500,000 copies) back in August. Having been dropped from his record label in 2009, and with many record companies wanting to sign Banks, the G-Unit soldier eventually opted to sign with EMI. November saw the release of H.F.M.2 and featured Kanye West, Eminem, Pusha T, Swizz Beatz, Raekwon and Akon. It is safe to say the underrated Banks proved many critics and haters wrong with the 13th track album.
This week, in a popular L.A nightclub, the punch line king performed hits from his latest album and pleased the crowd, performing some of his best known tracks. Rap Ireland have the footage below at the 8.20 mark he confirms the “The Cold Corner 2011” will be dropping in two weeks.
