Fresh off one huge achievement, Eminem has arguably landed himself an even more impressive accolade. It was revealed today that the Detroit rapper is now officially the most liked person on Facebook.
A diamond selling album in the US is a massive triumph for the star, who has consistently pulled back from the brink of musical retirement to continue with his own unique interpretation of how rap should be presented to the masses.
But this new achievement must surely rank right up there with the string of number one singles, multi-million selling albums and a back catalogue of ground-breaking videos that has more often than not landed the reformed hell-raiser in the soup with censors and the stars at which he likes to cheekily have a dig.
Over 30 million people now “like” Eminem on the social networking phenomenon. He now completely eclipses the second and third place entries of Lady Ga Ga and the late musical great Michael Jackson.
The question has to be asked then, is this the pinnacle for the brilliantly controversial artist or can he continue to move from strength to strength? With over 30 million people waiting with bated breath for new status updates, we would hope the best is still yet to come because lets be honest, nobody likes being removed on Facebook!
