Just when things are looking up for R&B star Chris Brown it seems his anger issues have risen again. While promoting his latest album F.A.M.E he stopped by “Good Morning America” to perform new single “Yeah 3X” , but beforehand the 21 year old star was asked a few questions by Robin Roberts (host of “GMA”) about his domestic dispute with Rihanna. Brown tried to redirect the questions and focus on his new album and not the dispute that happened over two years ago, but Roberts continued to ask about Brown’s legal issues. While showing no signs of frustration on-air it has been reported by TMZ that when the cameras stopped rolling Brown was so angry that he lost control, started screaming loudly, and ended up trashing his dressing room and even breaking a window in the room. He was scheduled to do another web-only performance, but exited the building shirtless instead.
Taking to his Twitter account to vent his anger the star tweeted “I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t” the tweet was later taking down and replaced with a more positive note “All my fans!!! This album is for you and only you!!! I’m so tired of everyone else!! Honestly!! I love team breezy!!”
“Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts has claimed that she and the “GMA” staff spoke with Brezzy prior to on-air interview and approved “a few questions” about the Rihanna incident. Roberts even insists that she did not try to set him up, saying, “Im pulling for the guy”
Is this another ploy by mainstream America to try get a reaction out controversial stars by asking uncomfortable questions? Back in November Kanye West was put on the spot by “Today” host Matt Lauer about former American President George Bush and about the VMA incident with Taylor Swift which saw an angry outburst from West. Who should be blamed? The interviewees for not handling the tough questions appropriately? Or the interviewers for asking the questions?
Meanwhile Chris Brown has enjoyed success with “Yeah 3X” going to top of the singles chart in New Zealand. It also reached the top ten in our own Irish charts along with UK and Australia. “Look at Me Now” was released as the second single coming from F.A.M.E and dropped on February 1, over in the U.S. The song features Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes and made its Billboard Hot 100 chart debut at number eleven, becoming Brown’s highest charting release since his 2008 single “Forever” peaked at number two.
F.A.M.E is out now in Ireland.
