All of Kanye’s lights turned off by UK Action Group

Controversy continues to follow Kanye West, as, already under fire for allegedly borrowing the intro to his new video “All of the Lights”, he is now also facing accusations of alleged health effects caused from people viewing it.

UK based group Epilepsy Action reportedly sent Kanye’s video to be analysed by Cambridge Research Systems, who analysed the video using a high-tech machine that can measure how likely it is that video footage will cause seizures.

The research found that the rate at which the lights featured in the video flash could easily trigger seizures and now Epilepsy Action have condemned the “All of the Lights” video and said in a statement “We have today had confirmation that it contains material that may cause seizures in some people with photosensitive epilepsy.”

According to the group’s representatives, the video has now been pulled from YouTube.com and will be banned from televisions in the United Kingdom.

“Ofcom regulations mean that this video should not be broadcast on UK television,” Epilepsy Action warned. “However, it is available online in a number of places. We are in the process of trying to contact Kanye West’s agent, YouTube and other online sources of the video to ask that they take it down. We have also contacted MTV and other TV stations to make them aware of the issue.”
