After jumping on the Official UK remix of Wiz Khalifa’s hit “Black and Yellow” Brit Award Winner Tinie Tempah is getting the Taylor Gang leader to return the favour by appearing on his second US single “Till I’m Gone”.
The British rapper is gearing up to release “Till I’m Gone” in the States, following the success of his first US single “Written In The Stars”, which has so far peaked at number 14 on the Hot 100 singles chart. Speaking of the collaboration, Tempah said; “I feel like we’re in the same kind of situation but in reverse. He’s really huge in the US and I have a lot of presence in Europe and the UK, so if there was ever a time to collaborate now would be the time.”
During a visit to MTV Stateside, the “Pass Out” hit-maker shared how the Stargate-produced collabo reflects their rigorous touring schedules. “The song is just about the fact that I’m always on the road. I’m right here in America right now, but I kind of miss home sometimes,” he explained. “It’s just saying I’m going to do what I’m doing, make sure I’m getting as big as I can be, but don’t worry England. You’ve still got my heart.”.
Tempah has been touring the US for the last month, with Clint Eastwood revealing that he is a fan of the London-born rapper after catching his performance at California’s Coachella music festival earlier this month.
“Disc-Overy”, is due to hit stores in America on May 17,and will include “Till I’m Gone” as well as two other new tracks not found on the U.K. release.
