Papoose to Release Debut Album “The Nacirema Dream” After 7 Year Delay

Papoose_CoverIt’s been a long time coming, and finally, after 7 long years of waiting, it would appear that Papoose is now on the verge of releasing his debut studio album.

The Nacirema Dream was first touted in 2006, when the rapper signed with Jive Records for $1.5 million. Since then, the Bed Stuy native claims that the politics of the music business has interfered with any release.

The first single off the album will feature Jamaica’s Mavado, who joins a heavyweight list of collaborators, which includes DJ Premier, Erykah Badu, Mobb Deep and of course the incarcerated Remy Ma.

Papoose penned an open letter to his fans which we have included below. With just 30 days remaining until the March 26th release date the countdown is on.
