Not content with having American Idol and X-Factor under his belt, Simon Cowell has decided that he will mix it up a bit with his next show and put a unique spin on it, by running a DJ talent competition. We apologise in advance for any more awful puns!And who will the grumpy Englishman be partnering with for the show? Well it would appear to be none other than Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, who are said to be in negotiations with the TV producer. According to reports, Cowell’s SYCO Entertainment is partnering with the Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television to launch the still untitled show on international and domestic platforms.
“DJ’s are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show,” Cowell said in a statement announcing the news.
In a tweet last week, Cowell said, “Excited to announce new DJ show. I will NOT be judging this show. Excited to be working with@jadapsmith. Stay tuned!”
